Why I F***ing Love Shrugs

Shrug, Bolero, Ulta-cropped sweater—one of my favorite types of clothing. This might be a weird hill to stand on but hear me out. Layering clothing or accessories is an art. One that I might master one day, but if you’re asking me right now, I am still a novice. When I’m putting an outfit together, more often than not, it doesn’t feel complete.

Im no fashion expert, but I do notice that the one thing all of my favorite fits have in common is laying. It adds depth and interest, and not in an overwhelming way. My closet isn’t huge in terms of space or options, which is a blessing and a curse. My laying pieces are versatile, but they can easily feel overdone and boring to me. Or the shapes just don’t work together. Petite problems, maybe?

That’s where the shrug comes in!! These space-saving tiny sweaters are the best for a few reasons…

1. They can be worn over literally anything. Long sleeve, short sleeve, sleeveless, dress, jumpsuit.

2. They are the perfect addition to when you’re transitioning temperatures. Like how everywhere blasts AC in summer, NP, throw on a shrug.

3.Did I mention space saving? You can very likely fit 3 shrugs where 1 regular-size sweater would fit.

4. From an artist's standpoint, they are fairly fast to make. If you’ve ever made a sweater, you know how slow the process can feel…Imagine just making sleeves that connect!

Im not saying get rid of all of your sweaters for shrugs, but If you’re like me and struggle with layering, maybe the shrug will become your new BFF.
